About Luvabulls

Our Luvabulls are our entire world. It is a beautiful symbiotic relationship to have amazingly beautiful and Luvabull dogs that are able to provide our family with a life where we can share the love from this breed with people around the globe. Being able to pair these dogs in creating more exquisite off springs that bring joy to every human that gets to interact and welcome a Luvabull into their life. After watching & playing with a pack of energetic Luvabull Frenchies it would be impossible for someone not to fall in love with these little piglets. Anyone who has ever been around a Frenchie knows how special of a breed they are and their unique personalities.

Diet

We feed our Luvabulls roughly 5% of their expected adult body weight everyday, split between breakfast and dinner. For a 20-25 lb Luvabull that means they eat about 1-1.25 lb’s once a day.

This consists of 5 oz of cooked beef, 5 oz of steamed white rice, 2 oz of steamed broccoli, 1 raw egg, 1 pump of fish oil for omega 3s, joint support, pre/probiotics, multivitamin, estrumate along with extra vitamins and nutrients for pregnant girls, .25oz of pumpkin meal for digestive health, and occasionally about 1oz of healthy/safe fruits.

For puppies our feeding program has the puppies on mom’s milk and additional supplemental bottle or tube feeding if required. When the puppies start to walk they will then begin eating our homemade mush recipe. Which mainly consist of the same food ingredients as the adults diet, including a few extras and more blended consistency. Your dogs will love every single meal and get all their required nutrition without having to digest processed kibble. This diet is amazing for their long term health and their coat.

Living Quarters

Our Luvabulls are free roaming in comfortable spaces for the majority of the day. We do not believe in letting our Luvabulls spend long periods of time in kennels. Our adult breeding dogs only spend time in their kennels when they are home alone, feeding time, or to sleep at night. Kennels can be successfully use and comfortable for dogs if trained to feel like a den for rest and sleeping during the night. This is our process for some of our Luvabulls, as it can make it more of a safe and manageable environment for a breeding program with many Frenchies.

They have many hours full of monitored playing and socialization with their Luvabull family and siblings. After watching a pack of energetic Luvabull Frenchies it would be impossible for someone not to fall in love with these little piglets. Anyone who has ever been around a Frenchie knows how special of a dog breed they are.

Health Testing

We believe that health testing is crucial before breeding. We want to do our best to provide healthy puppies. We test for the following issues in our working dogs and pups:

CMR1- CMR1 symptoms are very similar to Best macular dystrophy disease (BMD) in humans. BMD and CMR are retinal disorders caused by mutation in VMD2 gene (Vitelliform Macular Dystrophy 2 Gene). VMD2 gene is coding a protein bestrophin which is responsible for right forming of pigment epithelium in retina. Mutations in VMAD2 gene cause pigment epithelium atrophy which is leading to serious damage of sight. CMR disease usually arises before 4th month of age in an affected puppy. Clinically, rose-grey colored lesions are remarkable in retina. These lesions are of different size and shape and are occurred in both eyes of affected individual. Total blindness usually comes in higher age.

DM- Degenerative myelopathy, also known as chronic degenerative radiculomyelopathy (CDRM), is a disease affecting the spinal cord, resulting in slowly progressive hind limb weakness and paralysis. The symptoms result from degeneration of the white matter of the spinal cord.

JHC- Juvenile Hereditary Cataracts (JHC) are a clouding of the lens of the eye caused by a breakdown of tissue in the eye. This condition generally results in an inability to see clearly and can cause total blindness.

HUU- Dogs with this genetic mutation metabolize waste products as uric acid in their urine. The uric acid forms into hard stones in the bladder, causing pain and inflammation as the stone moves through the urinary tract.

Cardiac Exam via Auscultation- We have our dogs hearts examined  to identify the cardiac valve areas for auscultation. The examiner auscultates over the subaortic area, ascending aorta, pulmonary artery, and the left craniodorsal cardiac base. Following examination of the left precordium, the right precordium is also examined.

Patella Luxation- The patella, or kneecap, is part of the stifle joint (knee). In patellar luxation, the kneecap luxates, or pops out of place, either in a medial or lateral position. We test all our dogs for normal Patella’s without luxation.

Tracheal Hypoplasia-With tracheal hypoplasia the trachea has a decreased luminal diameter resulting in breathing difficulties. Our dogs are x-rayed to evaluate their trachea at a year old to rule our tracheal hypoplasia.

Breeding Practices

We do not breed until the 2nd or 3rd heat cycle. We use artificial or surgical inseminations, and have all our puppies born via C-section to ensure the safest and easiest breeding process for our Luvabull mamas. Our moms produce 3-4 litters in their breeding career, they are automatically retired at age 5, earlier if they have any challenges with breeding or motherhood. When they are retired they live the rest of their beautiful lives comfortably in our home or another safe and loving home that we have placed them in.

Adults and puppies are always kept up to date on all healthcare needs. We provide excellent medical care for our puppies and we believe in proactive health care. Our dogs and puppies are considered family and their lives are as precious to us as our own.

We are located in Phoenix, Arizona and are fully licensed and permitted through all Maricopa County and Arizona state agencies required, as well as being a valid Limited Liability Company (LLC). We are in good standing with the American Kennel Club ( AKC).

We ARE NOT USDA licensed, because USDA Licensing requires that we sell at least 2 puppies a year to pet stores. We DO NOT sell ANY of our Puppies to pet stores!

We will give serious inquiries our veterinary contact information, and Maricopa County License information, and MANY of our puppy families as a VERIFIABLE references for you to check in regards to our reputation as breeders and the quality of our puppies.

We are available to schedule breeding’s 7 days a week from 10 am to 3 pm. We will be flexible and reliable when arranging travel for live breeding’s and semen shipments, at the expense of the bitch owner. You will have the opportunity to see moms and dads, if they are owned in house, as well as pups you may be interested in and their siblings over Facetime and update videos. Please contact us and we will set up a time for your appointment.

Whelping Period

French bulldogs are amongst the most difficult to breed and whelp. We strive to produce beautiful Frenchie pups that are healthy, happy, and have wonderfully Luvabull temperaments.

Our puppies are raised in the house with us as they require around the clock care for the first four to five weeks of life. They also receive plenty of love, pampering, and social interaction with other puppies and select humans.

There is no expense spared in our program for our Luvabull Frenchie puppies. We are prepared with some of the latest whelping equipment and necessary medications in order to give these puppies the best chance at a thriving life. We have access to the best veterinary care if problems ever arise, to make sure they are treated and cleared by a vet prior to leaving for the new homes.

Before leaving our house our French Bulldog puppies have a veterinary health exam, they are up to date on all vaccines and de-worming schedule, and come with a written health guarantee. Our French Bulldogs are all AKC registered. They are healthy, have excellent personalities, and temperament. We take exceptional care of our LuvaBulls and feed them premium home cooked balanced meals once they are about 8-10 weeks.
